As 80% of our business is comprised of pre-booked group events that book up until
the day before their event, we cannot guarantee race times further out than same
day for guests that are not booking out the tracks exclusively committing to a certain
amount of track time. Keep in mind that if you can round up as few as 8 friends,
you can make reservations for a Grand Prix through our Group Events Department at
847-941-9410 as far out as 30 days. If you have a group larger than 25 that will
be utilizing the track for 1.5 hours or more, you can make reservations up to 1
year in advance! We cannot guarantee that if you call for same day reservations
that we will have availability, but we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Our facility has very specific and strict standards for drivers and their qualifications
that may or may not be met by previous karting experience. Feel free to call our
Enthusiast Line at 847-941-9440 to discuss your under-aged driver with previous
indoor or outdoor karting experience and we can help! Notes for other Junior Driving
Situations:
- Drivers between the ages of 16 and 17 that have a state or government issued license
to drive a motor vehicle may race at our facility if accompanied by a parent or
guardian who has filled out a Junior Driver Parental Waiver Form and signed it.
- Drivers between the ages of 10 years and 17 years may participate in Restricted
Kart Racing Events that occupy the entire facility, such as Bar, Bat Mitzvahs and
Sweet Sixteen Parties (karts where the top speed has been limited to half our standard
kart speeds) if they have a completed Junior Driver Parental Waiver Form signed
with a copy of their parent’s license as a second form of consent and one adult
companion per 20 children on site.
- Drivers aged 7 through 10 may only race after they have met with our Junior School
Instruct in our two day Junior Driving School.
Arrive and Drive races are 21 laps long and you want to allocate about 1 hour and
15 minutes for your first racing experience and 15 minutes for each additional race
you schedule after that on the same day. Races last approximately 8 minutes long.
Group Event Races are customized utilizing a variety of formats and race lengths
for those events vary based on the format. The amount of laps can be determined
by preset lap amounts, or the skill and speed of the driver and the race format
they are participating in!
Group events get exclusive use of the track during their races. Whiles you are welcome
to pre-book an event for less than 8 guests, the minimum cost for the event must
equal that of a group of 8 guests for a Grand Prix Event to ensure that the costs
of exclusive track utilization have been met.
Our facilities feature observation areas for non drivers as well as tons of alternative
entertainment options such as state of the art video gaming, Billiards tables and
Full Sized Shuffleboard. The Addison Facility features CyberSport, a fun hybrid
activity combining bumper cars, lacrosse and basketball.
Yes! Unlike many activities such as golf, paintball, ropes courses or other such
activities, this is sport that anyone with a driver’s license is automatically trained
at. Anyone that listens and adheres to basic directions on the track can excel (making
some women better than some men behind the wheel). We are a “non-contact” facility,
that means bumper car driving, driving beyond the level of your own ability and
aggressive driving (bumping someone and taking advantage of their recovery to gain
position and/or the lead) will result in penalties.
